The Abita Springs Opry is a series of music concerts held six times a year and is produced by a nonprofit organization, Abita Opry Inc. The show has the mission of preserving and presenting Louisiana "Roots" music. Our music is played primarily acoustically, in its original form.

Our main thrust is old-time Country, Bluegrass, and traditional Southern Gospel music, but we often present other forms of traditional Louisiana music such as Cajun, Zydeco, Irish, or other types that reflect the many different groups of people who are part of our diverse culture.

Three Rivers Cooperative: If you love Bluegrass music, you will love the Three Rivers Cooperative. Christopher Talley has developed an effective network of very fine musicians who have performed at the opry. This is a powerful Bluegrass group and sets the stage for the show.

Mid-City Aces: Any group that includes Gina Forsythe must be good. The other musicians need to hang with Gina who might be the best fiddle player in Louisiana. Gina has made multiple appearances at the Opry with other groups, and as a solo, but now she will bring a Cajun music group here.

Maddie Kirgo: She is a Country singer and wowed the audience as a featured performer at one of the peripheral acts to one of the Busker Festivals. We are looking forward to her appearance doing traditional Country music.

The Bad Sandys: I heard this group at a local performance and decided to book them immediately. Ron Hotstream and Tina Jamieson are the lead singers, and they bring some high-energy Rockabilly music to our stage. They have a great song list and strong musicianship. They are excited about coming here, and we are equally excited about what they will bring.
