The Abita Springs Opry is a series of music concerts held six times a year and is produced by a nonprofit organization, Abita Opry Inc. The show has the mission of preserving and presenting Louisiana "Roots" music. Our music is played primarily acoustically, in its original form.

Our main thrust is old-time Country, Bluegrass, and traditional Southern Gospel music, but we often present other forms of traditional Louisiana music such as Cajun, Zydeco, Irish, or other types that reflect the many different groups of people who are part of our diverse culture.

Steve Anderson Group:
Steve is a local self-taught musician who has a natural ability to deliver old time classic Country music classics as well as or better than most. Steve is a very humble and likeable guy but transforms to someone who can really belt out those old songs as he strums on the guitar. Steve is often joined in harmony with the other vocalist in the group, Jan Biggs.

The Rayo Brothers:
This group has gained a great reputation performing in the area around Lafayette. When they performed at a gig in Abita Springs we booked them on the spot. Their music ranges across the “Americana” spectrum. They were able to deliver country, bluegrass, “newgrass” and very traditional songs very skillfully. The audience that day loved them, and we believe our audience will love them as well.

Big Daddy O:
His real name is Owen Tufts. He is a very well-known and long-standing musician in the area. His specialty is blues. He has a deep rich voice and delivers standards along with some really great original compositions. He is highly respected among blues artists in the area and was a real audience pleaser in previous appearances at our show.

Albanie Faletta:
Albanie is no stranger to the opry stage. She is a very accomplished instrumentalist who has performed as parts of other groups at previous opries. When she informed us that she has her own group, the decision to book them was a no-brainer. Our audience loves Traditional New Orleans Jazz and Albanie’s group will not let them down.
