The Abita Springs Opry is a series of music concerts held six times a year and is produced by a nonprofit organization, Abita Opry Inc. The show has the mission of preserving and presenting Louisiana "Roots" music. Our music is played primarily acoustically, in its original form.

Our main thrust is old-time Country, Bluegrass, and traditional Southern Gospel music, but we often present other forms of traditional Louisiana music such as Cajun, Zydeco, Irish, or other types that reflect the many different groups of people who are part of our diverse culture.

Big Shine
Mike Pace, Hutson Brock and Charlie Harrison. Mike is a long time Opry regular. His virtuosity on the fiddle has given him the opportunity to perform with different groups. Hutson is very well known among local musicians. We have attempted to book him for the show for years, and now he will appear alongside Mike. This will approve to be a real treat.

Gal Holiday and the
Honky Tonk Revue
Vanessa Neiman AKA Gal Holiday is very well known inn the New Orleans music Scene. She and her group are in high demand in the club and festival scene in the big easy. We consider ourselves fortunate to get her to perform on our stage, and she will bring some strong honky tonk country songs.

Shotgun Jazz Band
Marla Dixon can play a horn as well as anyone. This is one of those great groups that can please audiences in the New Orleans Clubs on the streets of that musically infused city. The New Orleans streets provide one of the greatest incubators for many stellar musicians ranging from Louis Armstrong to Jimmy Buffet. The contemporary street performers bring a special energy and drive to our stage, and our audience loves them.
