The Abita Springs Opry is a series of music concerts held six times a year and is produced by a nonprofit organization, Abita Opry Inc. The show has the mission of preserving and presenting Louisiana "Roots" music. Our music is played primarily acoustically, in its original form.

Our main thrust is old-time Country, Bluegrass, and traditional Southern Gospel music, but we often present other forms of traditional Louisiana music such as Cajun, Zydeco, Irish, or other types that reflect the many different groups of people who are part of our diverse culture.

Steve Anderson Band: This is our longest-lasting house band. Steve Anderson is a local guy and life-long resident of Abita Springs. He is self-taught and gifted with a rich voice, and he can deliver traditional Country music as well as anyone.  Steve is an audience favorite.

8Track Acoustic: This trio is headed up by Jude Leblanc.  Jude is an Opry family member who was a member of the production crew for several years but has formed his own production company. Like most sound guys, Jude is a musician, and he is currently performing with this group that includes Jerrod Nix and Mark Henry.  Having heard them at a local market, the decision to book them is a no-brainer.

The Petty Bones: This trio is comprised of Ann and Jery Crowell and Bobby Belloni. All of them are no strangers to the Opry stage.  The Petty bones were our house band for several seasons and Bobby Belloni has been a member of two different house bands. For various reasons, they all stepped away from music for a time, but they are now pooling their talents and will be staging their return on our stage at this show.

Tuba Skinny: This is one of the best traditional jazz bands in existence. I am not saying that frivolously.  Years ago, I heard them on a recording and knew we had to have them at the Opry. Back then, they were still principally buskers, and they still are but also now performing in clubs, festivals and prestigious venues and on streets around the world.  They have a huge following and we are privileged to have them appear on the Opry stage. They will also headline the Abita Springs Busker festival on April 12.
